On a bright June morning in the Sunyani Municipality, eager faces lit up with excitement as final-year Junior High School students at the Ridge Experimental Cluster of Schools received an unexpected gift brand-new mathematical set, courtesy of the Bridgeway Foundation.
For many of these students, the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) marks a life-defining moment the gateway to senior high school and, for some, the first big step toward realizing their dreams. Yet, something as small as not having the right tools for an exam can stand in the way of success.
Through its flagship Stay in School Project, the Bridgeway Foundation stepped in to ensure that wouldn’t happen. The donation, made on June 3, 2025 just one week ahead of the BECE provided not only the essential instruments needed for mathematics and science exams but also a timely boost of confidence.
“This is more than a donation,” said a Foundation representative. “It’s a way of telling these students: We believe in you. You are capable. And you are not alone as you take this important step.”
The room was filled with gratitude as teachers expressed how much the gesture meant not only in easing the financial strain on families but also in igniting a renewed sense of commitment among the students. Some pupils clutched their new sets tightly, already imagining themselves walking into the examination hall with confidence. For Bridgeway Foundation, this was not just about providing materials. It was about removing barriers, creating equal opportunities, and reminding every child that with the right support, nothing is out of reach.
Through programs like the Stay in School Project, the Foundation continues to touch lives across the country, one classroom, one student, and one dream at a time.
