On Sunday, 12th October 2025, the Bridgeway Foundation team conducted an emergency donation exercise at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. This initiative was in response to a short-notice call from the hospital requesting urgent support for its patients. Despite the limited preparation time, our team mobilized quickly and successfully made the donation.
We presented a range of essential items, including toiletries, bowls, cups, provisions, and other basic supplies, to meet the immediate needs of the patients. The donation aimed to ease some of the daily challenges faced by the hospital’s residents, especially the elderly and long-term patients who often lack adequate personal items.
As part of our gesture of appreciation, we also presented over ten diaries to the nursing and security staff for their unwavering commitment and compassion in caring for the patients. Their warm reception and heartfelt gratitude deeply touched our team, reaffirming our belief in the power of community support and the shared humanity that binds us.
This visit was not just about providing items but also about spreading hope, love, and encouragement to both the patients and the dedicated staff who work tirelessly under challenging conditions. The smiles and appreciation we received reminded us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting impact.
The Bridgeway Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to serve communities and bring relief to those in need. Through collective effort and compassion, we can create a society where everyone, regardless of circumstance, feels valued and supported. Together, we make a difference.
